What is the East Gateway Hub?

East Gateway Hub

In 2020, the leaders of three East London Elim churches (Barking, East Ham and Dagenham) began supporting one another through the challenges of leading a church through a pandemic. Pitsea Elim Church joined in 2023 and then Ashingdon Elim and Rayleigh Elim in 2024. This partnership in the Gospel is known as The East Gateway Hub.

God is continuing to lead the leadership and congregations of the 'Hub' in forming connections in prayer, ministry and vision that builds His Kingdom in the UK, from the east, along the Thames gateway, into London.

The East Gateway Hub is made up of Barking Elim, East Ham Elim, Dagenham Elim, Estuary Elim (Ashingdon & Rayleigh) and Pitsea Elim.

Elim?

During the journey from their cruel bondage in Egypt to the freedom of the Promised Land, the Israelites, exhausted and dispirited came upon an oasis called Elim in the Bible.

Exodus 15:27 says: Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water. It would have been a place of shelter and refreshment in the wilderness.

Life can sometimes seem like a wilderness, we hope our church can be an oasis on your journey.

We believe the power and presence of God is as real and relevant today as it was in Biblical times. God has not changed. We believe that God longs to transform lives, heal bodies, and give new direction.
